Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of global quality systems for the AMPCO Group.
- Advocate for and integrate sustainability, ESG, compliance, and corporate social responsibility into quality systems.
- Guide and monitor global quality assurance initiatives from the Group’s HQ.
- Support ISO certification audits in different entities of the Group
- Ensure the procurement process aligns with global quality standards, including the qualification and auditing of suppliers.
Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Drive the formulation and roll-out of global quality assurance policies.
- Spearhead the integration of sustainability, ESG, and CSR into global quality standards.
- Support new certifications initiatives in entities of the Group like Energy and Environmental management system.
- Address global customer complaints and non-conformance issues, ensuring consistency across all regions.
- Engage with global stakeholders on quality and compliance matters.
- Facilitate the implementation of corrective and preventive actions across the AMPCO Group.
- Lead supplier qualification processes, ensuring they meet AMPCO’s stringent quality requirements.
- Regularly conduct and oversee supplier audits to assess their adherence to agreed quality and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and manage purchasing specifications, ensuring quality considerations are integrated.
- Monitor and manage the quality of materials and services procured, implementing feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Conduct global internal audits and evaluate findings, driving consistent quality standards across locations.
- Lead global risk management activities and assure compliance with industry regulatory requirements.
- Ensure alignment between procurement strategies and global quality standards.
Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree or relevant experience in Quality Management or related field.
- Certifications in Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate are a plus.
- Broad experience in the metal industry or deep knowledge in material engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of global quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and safety VCA**.
- Familiarity with global regulatory requirements.
Key Competencies:
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of sustainability, ESG, and CSR.
- Analytical prowess and decisive decision-making abilities.
- Advanced digital skills with proficiency in modern ICT tools.
- Leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Travel required in function (about 30%)
